Agile Day Atlanta is a non-profit, community-driven, one-day Agile conference. Entering our sixth year, our goal is to continue promoting agile methodologies while also donating all proceeds to local charities. For the third consecutive year, we are donating all profits of the event to Power My Learning. Power My Learning is a national nonprofit that partners with schools and districts in under-resourced communities to help them personalize learning for students.
KMS SPEAKER: Nilesh Patel, Director of Testing
WHEN: May 10th, 11:10 am-12:10 pm
Automation is necessary to keep pace with your agile development. With limited time to test, manual testing takes too long! Augment your testing with automation. UI Regression testing is not enough; instead, continuously automate all layers (Unit, Integration, API, UI). Then, pipe in these automated tests into your CI/CD pipeline. Time is a problem all teams face when moving to an agile environment. Testers don’t have enough time to complete full regression tests, causing them to focus on UI regression. Which really doesn’t save time as UI regression takes the longest to automate. So, how do you truly get faster with automation? Automate at all layers to get real value from automation. Automating at the lower level earlier in the cycle results in better coverage and can be completed at a faster pace. In addition, if the automation is piped into your CI/CD, then automation is continuously running and releases are faster.
